Château de la Gravelle - Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie

TERROIR: The vineyard has an unusual terroir because its subsoil is composed of a volcanic rock: gabbro covered by a 40cm clay layer. VINIFICATION : The wine is vinified on lees. The lees is the result of a natural sedimentation of the solid elements of the wine during the winter. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine rests on its lees all winter until the bottling at the end of March. TASTING: This Muscadet is sought after for its youthful, lively, mineral and fruity character and has a slight "pearliness" so sought after by wine lovers. FOOD/WINE PAIRING: Fish (sea and river), seafood (oysters, shellfish...) and shellfish. However, it can also be enjoyed as an aperitif. To be enjoyed chilled at around 12°C. AGEING : 5 years.
